Glacier Country Tourism Seeks Board Applicants

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 9, 2020

Glacier Country Regional Tourism Commission, the non-profit organization dedicated to marketing Western Montana as a travel destination, is seeking applicants for positions on its volunteer board. Applicants must live in Glacier, Lake, Lincoln, Mineral, Ravalli or Sanders counties, and work in a tourism-related business or organization. The board positions for Missoula and Flathead counties are filled.

“This is an interesting and dynamic time to be in the tourism industry,” says Shannon Brilz, Glacier Country Board Chair. “Tourism is one of the top two largest economic sectors in Montana, and hundreds of businesses in the region depend on tourism and visitors for their livelihood. Our economic recovery depends on the tourism industry and Western Montana's Glacier Country plays a significant role in this.”

Those interested can find more information and online application at https://glaciercountrytourism.submittable.com/submit. Deadline for applications is end of day Monday, November 16, 2020.

Glacier Country is recognized by the Tourism Advisory Council (TAC) and the state of Montana as the official marketing organization for Western Montana. Glacier Country is funded in part by the state accommodations tax (bed tax) and by private membership funds. Geographically, Glacier Country includes Flathead, Glacier, Lake, Lincoln, Mineral, Missoula, Ravalli and Sanders counties.
