Glacier Country Tourism is dedicated to providing high quality training, workshops and education opportunities to our communities, businesses and organizations in Western Montana.
Customer service training teaches valuable tools and skills to help create a positive experience for staff and customers. In FY 2021, we partnered with the University of Montana College of Business to develop a robust program based on what businesses and employees are facing in a COVID-19/post-COVID-19 world. This three-tiered program includes Customer Service Essentials, Conflict Management and Train the Trainer.
Twice a year Glacier Country hosts the Glacier Country Tourism Summit, bringing together national and local industry leaders who present on a variety of topics from the basics of social media to developing tourism product. These workshops add to a business’s ability to succeed by staying current with industry trends, challenges, opportunities and knowledge of the economic importance of tourism to Montana. These summits provide an ongoing program for individuals and organizations to affordably stay abreast of cutting-edge trends, helping to keep them competitive and to increase the effectiveness of their efforts.
Education and outreach is extremely important for businesses and employees. Glacier Country Tourism and the University of Montana are working to evaluate the workforce development needs of Montana's tourism and hospitality sector. Together, we are developing training programs to prepare the sector's current and future workforce.
Glacier Country Tourism provides a marketing voice much louder than what we could do on our own. Their audience exposure and traffic are at a scale we’d be silly not to take advantage of.
