Tourism Town Hall Meetings

The tourism town hall meetings took place the fall of 2021 and early winter of 2022. View the feedback, updates and resources from that time on the Updates + Resources page.

Residents were invited to share their hopes, concerns and ideas in an engaging Tourism Town Hall led by tourism experts who specialize in helping destinations deliver sustainable growth while building stronger communities.

We held both in-person and virtual meetings for each county in Glacier Country. These meetings were held to learn more about ways Western Montana's Glacier Country can listen and engage with tourism stakeholders, outfitters, land managers, civic leaders and residents to create the Destination Stewardship Plan.

We held a second round of town hall meetings and listening sessions throughout the eight counties of Western Montana in 2024.The purpose of the meetings was to share the Glacier Country Destination Stewardship Plan and to gather resident input on current challenges, opportunities and strategies for the community regarding visitors and tourism compared to 2021.

Town hall meetings provide our communities not only a chance to listen but also an opportunity to be heard. The insights, experiences and suggestions of the people who call Glacier Country home are invaluable to us. We continue to hold these ongoing listening sessions as the community's request.
