Engage Western Montana’s Glacier Country is an important tool for the Western Montana’s Glacier Country Community Engagement Program, which was implemented to foster community engagement, and to build public support around a shared vision for the destination—balancing economic development, sustainable tourism and quality of life.
Glacier Country’s Community Engagement Program—a program born from the Destination Stewardship Plan—seeks to work with community members to identify and address issues that affect the community’s well-being, support efforts to promote sustainable tourism, and increase awareness and communication surrounding important matters within their communities.
Projects on the Engage site are not usually led by Western Montana’s Glacier Country but are community-driven projects that we assisted with in some capacity. Each project is shared on the Engage site to enhance transparency, encourage participation, collect feedback and build community connections.
